What happens next
Your receipt is on its way. Look for a confirmation email with the amount you just paid. Hang onto it, it’s your proof of payment when your beef changes hands.
We set up the handoff. We’ll reach out to lock in a day for delivery or pickup. Delivery is free within 60 miles of Winchester, VA, and $100 beyond that. Farther out than that, we’ll look at the mileage with you case by case.
Clear your freezer space. Figure about one cubic foot for every 35 to 40 pounds of packaged beef, so roughly 4 to 5 for a quarter, 8 to 10 for a half, and 16 to 20 for a whole. A half or a whole will not fit in a refrigerator freezer, so have a chest or upright cleared and running before your date.
You get your beef. However it comes to you, plan to get everything into the freezer right away.
