Blake Henke holds a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia and an M.S. in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins. He spent his career in wildlife science, founding North Star Science and Technology in 1999, a company that builds the tracking and monitoring technology used by researchers and conservationists worldwide. He has always been an avid outdoorsman, hiking, backpacking, hunting, fishing, and whitewater rafting. Today he is putting that environmental background to work in the beef business, bringing locally raised, high quality beef out of the Virginia Piedmont.
